WHAT TO DO WHILST
IN THE HUON:
Not only is our beautiful
valley one great big picture postcard but we have wineries, cheese
makers, fresh produce, salmon (catch them yourself at the salmon
farm) & ocean trout. Introduce yourself to a local –
they would love to ‘enlighten you’ on their ‘patch’.
This is the perfect place to sit back, relax and recharge your
batteries after running in the fast lane for the past year. ....once
you actually get here you won't want to leave!
Visit the
galleries, watch craftsmen at work, have a picnic by the river.
Looking
for something more thrilling…why not go on a jet boat ride
or eco tour, hang glide, catch a salmon, ride on the old railways,
explore caves, climb mountains or try the new swing bridges and
air walk.
Then you
can just sit back, relax and take in the ambiance whilst experiencing
fresh local produce at award winning restaurants, wineries and
cafes.
WHAT TO SEE:
Scenic rainforests,
stunning coastlines, rolling hills and massive peaks. Beautiful
gardens, country villages and wonderful wildlife. Why not pat
an alpaca or see a rare Huon Pine
WHERE TO STAY:
Fantastic accommodation
is available to suit any budget. Romantic cottages, B&B’s,
hotels & caravan parks. For the more adventurous there are
tipee’s in the wilderness or you could bring along your
own tent !
